Lyubomir Stefanov: If the PP-DB continue to chase the current affairs, they will lose their political face

There are all the prerequisites to see a coalition parliamentary government, which, if it behaves according to European standards, and governs the country transparently, honestly, effectively and efficiently, it would be possible to see a 4-year mandate. Lyubomir Stefanov: If the PP-DB continue to chase the current affairs, they will lose their political face - 1

I do not rule out dynamics in the coalition formula, but there are prerequisites for a 4-year mandate. This was told by the Bulgarian National Radio, political scientist and university lecturer Lyubomir Stefanov. He added the following:

"There are all the prerequisites to see a coalition parliamentary government, which, if it behaves according to European standards, and governs the country transparently, honestly, effectively and efficiently, it would be possible to see a 4-year mandate. But there is always a second plan when the current coalition falls apart and a new one is put together. That's why I don't rule out dynamics in the coalition formula".
In his words, it should be seen through the government's management program what their entire management strategy is:

"Let's see if the Joint Management Council will exercise control over the coalition's agenda. Will it remain a coalition, or will it remain a byword with some other word in Bulgarian political folklore. Whether and how a budget will be implemented that will lead us to the eurozone, or will it promise us it in a year, two or three. These things are extremely important and will show the behavior of the other players. Since we currently have oppositions in parliament, an interesting situation, this is the first time we have seen such a thing on such a scale. The opposition is not homogeneous and its votes will be different. Whether they will be ad hoc or consistent depends on the ruling coalition.

According to Lyubomir Stefanov, GERB will seek conjunct majorities with other parties, outside of its coalition partners.

"If PP-DB continues to pursue current affairs day after day, it will dilute them completely and they will lose their political face. There are many dangers and opportunities ahead of them, it is in their hands what they will do," commented the political scientist and stressed that their stay in opposition will be healthy.
