Natalia Kiselova strictly followed the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, but her lack of experience failed her in this case. She could have avoided this situation with a few technical details, but if this had not happened, it would have been something else. Such a comment was made by sociologist Vasil Tonchev in connection with the dissolution of the PG of MECH last week.
He does not believe that Kiselova will lose her chairmanship because of this case, since the deputies are facing the serious challenge related to Bulgaria's admission to the eurozone.
The point of this government is to get Bulgaria into the eurozone, Tonchev noted.
The sociologist also does not believe that the vote of no confidence will pass, since in his words the majority in parliament is stable enough, but “the opposition will have the opportunity to present its arguments.“
He also added that the DPS-New Beginning is part of this majority, specifying that the PP-DB will also support it on key issues.
Regarding the idea of creating a chain of state-owned stores, Tonchev expressed the opinion that such a project could be implemented, but he is skeptical, that the government will make efforts in this direction.
To implement such an idea requires a lot of effort. This is a very serious business event. It could be done, but I doubt that they will do it. It can be implemented in small settlements, but how it will be done is a matter of specific technology, the sociologist argues.
To the last question about the adopted budget for 2025, Tonchev said that the most important thing is that we have a budget, regardless of whether it is good or bad.
