Five children were injured in an accident, and a baby is in danger of life, the police in Stara Zagora announced.
The man who was driving the car tested positive for alcohol.
A serious accident occurred yesterday, around 10:30 p.m., on the I-6 road near the junction for the Stara Zagora village of Tarnicheni.
The accident was between a passenger car driven by a 21-year-old man and a car driven by a 33-year-old man. A 31-year-old woman and five children aged 5 months, 4, 9, 13 and 16 were traveling in one of the cars.
All passengers in the car and the children were injured in the collision. Two of them were hospitalized. The 5-month-old baby is in life-threatening condition, and the 13-year-old girl is out of life-threatening condition. The remaining passengers were examined and released for home treatment.
Both drivers were tested for alcohol use. The 21-year-old man's sample was negative, while the technical device recorded 1.17 proml alcohol in the blood of the 33-year-old driver who was driving the car with the injured children.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated at the Kazanlak Regional Police Department.
