Ivan Takov: In the next two years, the BSP will struggle to attract 150-200 thousand votes from young voters

"We are working hard, but we have a clear commitment. It is not an easy job, neither for the government nor for the parliament. The adopted bills can be counted on the fingers of both hands, and I found out that there are over 1,600 questions asked to ministers. Instead of doing the job we sent them to do, they have to spend the night in parliament," Takov pointed out regarding the 100 days of the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet

The crime in Haskovo was revealed in three days. This is an extremely serious criminal offense and a serious personal drama, the victims once again became victims of politicization. Perhaps the political price was paid with the resignation of the police chief, but this does not solve the major problems that have accumulated over the years. You saw what happened in front of the regional government. It is very important that competent persons are measured in their speech, because you see what is happening. This was stated by Ivan Takov from the BSP in the program "Face to Face" on bTV, quoted by novini.bg.
He also commented on the first 100 days of the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet. "We are working hard, but we have a clear commitment. It is not an easy job, neither for the government nor for the parliament. The adopted bills can be counted on the fingers of both hands, and I found out that there are over 1,600 questions asked to ministers. Instead of doing the job for which we sent them, they have to spend the night in the parliament," Takov pointed out.
According to him, the participation of the BSP in the government is a challenge, but also an opportunity. "We were given a chance to index pensions according to the Swiss rule. Our representatives in the government managed to fight to preserve the Swiss rule. Another thing - the two reactors from the Belene NPP will remain in Bulgaria. They will help us remain an energy leader in the Balkans", he added.

When asked whether the former leader of the Socialists, Cornelia Ninova, and her new party, "Rebellious Bulgaria" are a threat to the BSP, Takov replied: "No. The short answer is no".

The main threat to the BSP is the demographic crisis and this is our super goal. We must have one goal - to pay attention to the young generation, which is missing as our voters, Takov was categorical. He added that in the next two years, the BSP will fight to attract 150-200 thousand votes from young voters.

Regarding Bulgaria's admission to the eurozone, Takov indicated that he sees no reason for the government to fall after the report on the eurozone. "In less than 90 days, we have seen two votes of no confidence that have accomplished nothing but a waste of parliamentary time", he added.

The castlings at Metropolitan are unsavory and should not happen, he believes. "Failed politicians cannot practice on the backs of people like Prof. Bratoev. This marriage of convenience between Bonev and Terziev is at the expense of all Sofia residents. It was staged to blind people from the real problems. We have requested a hearing of the management of Metropolitan," added Ivan Takov.
