"The Haskovo Police Could Not Communicate Properly with the Public“, said in the “Interview in NOVA News” the former deputy rector of the Ministry of Interior Academy Assoc. Prof. Milen Ivanov.
According to him, the chief of the Haskovo Police is not trained to do crisis PR – a problem that, according to him, has long existed in the Ministry of Interior system.
“Such a murder can hardly be prevented – especially when it was committed out of passion“, he also pointed out.
Ivanov emphasized that modern 17-18 year olds are no longer children in the traditional sense of the word.
„The police had no real chance to prevent the murder, since it was an accidental crime“, the expert added.
He also criticized the inept presentation of one of the versions of the case by the police chief, emphasizing that it should not have been commented on publicly at all.
„Whatever mistakes the Ministry of Interior made, they do not justify vandalism. Moral civic behavior also requires a moral attitude towards the authorities“, Ivanov concluded.
