How to defeat in a humane way.
In the past, socialism was not defeated by capitalism, but by normality. People from socialist countries did not dream of capitalism, but of a normal, honest and just society.
That – the other, gave the appearance of such. At least in the advertising catalogs of “Neckermann“, which occupied a place of honor in the Bulgarian home and were even bound like expensive books. People did not want to be lied to that everything was fine while they were lining up for peppers.
Quarring up for peppers in the country that is the largest producer of peppers in Europe was wrong. People did not want to look at the macroeconomic framework, but to be able to buy jeans, without committing a crime. To go to Venice at least once, because such places were only seen on postcards. And when they return, no one should judge them as national traitors.
That's why socialism fell and people accepted this fall with joy. So far - good.
Today, what we call liberalism (it has many names, but you understand perfectly well what I'm talking about) will not be defeated by what is called nationalism. Liberalism will be destroyed by that same human desire for justice, correctness and normality.
A desire for human dignity, if you will. People are not interested in increasing the credit rating of the planet, nor in the economic index of anything. They want to be able to see the truth and be able to share it. To live in truth.
Not to be persecuted by ideological police. Not to have officials who determine what is right and what is wrong. Responsible people who bring about correctness. Competitions in which the ugly and the stupid win because they have a party ticket. People want the same thing again. To be able to raise their children in peace and to be able to feed them, without becoming slaves to various cunning corporations that have taken advantage of various legal tricks to legalize their lawlessness. And to be respected as people.
Politicians seem to not understand that what people most passionately want is to be people. Not left, right, center, electoral mass, hard cores and periphery. People want to be people. Not voters and electors of pre-arranged matches. People want to be people and this is an inevitable need.
