After viewers of BNT in Varna reported spots of unclear origin in the sea near the city, representatives of the Regional Inspectorate for Environmental Protection, the "Maritime Administration" and the "Border Police" carried out a joint inspection of the water up to the III and IV buoys.
According to the initial findings, no sources of pollution have been found on the coast. There is a slight opalescence on the surface of the water in the area, which, however, is not from pollution with oil or fuel oil.
Most likely, the dark stripe, several dozen meters long, noticed yesterday is due to the unregulated discharge of washing water from a vessel. The results of the samples taken and their analysis will be published after they are processed.
