The Ministry of Innovation and Growth has opened an application procedure for increasing energy efficiency and using energy from renewable sources in Bulgarian companies. It is under the Program “Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises“, with a budget of 126 million leva. The measure is a continuation of the efforts to achieve greater energy independence of businesses and reduce bills for electricity, natural gas, liquid fuels or other energy carriers.
Micro, small and medium-sized companies can benefit from it. The minimum funding for projects is 30,000 leva, and the maximum is 100,000 leva. The main objective of the procedure is for enterprises to receive support for the acquisition of energy-efficient equipment and facilities with which to ensure their own production and storage of electricity. The funds will be used to purchase, for example, heat pumps, waste heat recovery systems, energy-efficient insulation systems in buildings, photovoltaic panels, local energy storage facilities (batteries), etc.
Application under the measure is entirely online in the MIS 2020 system and will be open until 4:30 p.m. on 13.10.2025. Companies can ask questions and request clarifications at the same address, and the answers will be published in both the MIS and the MIR website up to three weeks before the deadline for submitting documents.
