All buildings on the "Ogosta" dam near Montana are illegal. This was established by an expert commission.
Caravans and houses are located in the basin of the reservoir.
Over 120 caravans and massive buildings have been found on the banks of the dam, it became clear from the inspections carried out with the participation of representatives of over 10 institutions, the regional governor of Montana Kalin Haitov told the Bulgarian National Radio:
"Absolutely everything is illegal".
The "Ogosta" dam is of national importance. It is owned by the Ministry of Agriculture and is managed by "Irrigation Systems". After repeated signals, the regional governor of Montana ordered inspections and the illegal buildings were found. The owners were given instructions to remove them:
"After the expiration of the one-month period, most of the sites are there. There are some abandoned places, but they left their sheds".
The regional government in Montana has sent letters to the Council of Ministers, Ministry of Interior, MRDPW and Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
"We have also met them. We are also waiting for their opinion, after which we will take the appropriate measures according to their instructions".
The "Ogosta" dam near Montana is visited year-round by over 10,000 fishermen from the country and the institutions want to bring order to the campaign that has begun.
