Last day for traders to prepare the display of prices of goods and services - both in leva and euro. Labels must display both prices in the same font, but there is no requirement which one should be leading - the one in leva or the one in euro.
The provisions of the Euro Introduction Act come into effect on August 8. From then on, we will have to see prices in both euro and leva. There are some exceptions to dual pricing, for example, for books, textbooks and teaching aids, which will have to introduce the display from the new year. At gas stations, we will see a double price list for fuel, but on the fuel column itself, the amount on the display will be only one.
After the taxi industry complained about difficulties, the obligation to see both currencies on receipts comes into effect from October 31, but the price lists that indicate their rates must be in both currencies.
