A five-year-old child from Stara Zagora died last night after an incident in a swimming pool at a hotel complex in Ravda.
The tragedy occurred at around 10:00 p.m. on August 11, when the child, under unclear circumstances, entered the water, flagman.bg reported.
According to information, the child's mother and uncle were nearby, but the incident developed too quickly and rescue was impossible. It is not known whether there was a security guard or lifeguard in the complex at the time.
„We are all shocked. This child was a ray of sunshine – always with a smile, always close to her mother. "I know they are from Stara Zagora, but they own an apartment here, the mother has an address registration in Ravda," a woman living in a neighboring apartment shares with tears in her eyes.
An investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
