The Constitution and laws have provided for joint competence on certain issues, and this over the years with varying results shows that when there is political opposition, the powers that are joint competence between the head of state and the government also suffer from this.
This is what the Speaker of the National Assembly Natalia Kiselova said to journalists on Petrova Niva regarding the lack of an appointed chairman of the State Agency "National Security" (DANS) and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, dariknews.bg reported.
When asked whether legislative changes would be a solution to appoint a Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a Chairman of the DANS without the president's signature, Kiselova replied that the National Assembly is the place to discuss these issues. "Discussions on social networks and Facebook are not a solution. There is a procedure for discussing these issues. The National Assembly is a good platform where they can be discussed", she pointed out.
The Speaker of the National Assembly Natalia Kiselova participated in the celebration of the 122nd anniversary of the Ilinden-Preobrazhensko Uprising in the historical area of Petrova Niva. The celebration was under the patronage of the head of state Rumen Radev.
