Students from five schools returned home after a Mathematical Olympiad in Vietnam. Our young mathematicians, some of whom were also won by children from the Sofia Mathematical High School, are returning with a total of six cups, eight silver and four bronze medals.
In the team competition, the group of sixth graders defeated their opponents and won the gold.
The children say that despite the difficulties and the need for comprehensive preparation for such a forum, they feel satisfied with what they have achieved. For the teachers of our young talents, math lessons are also lessons of perseverance and responsibility.
"Anyone who has dedicated themselves to math, putting in so much work, inevitably sooner or later success is in sight", Vanya Danova, who is also the children's teacher, tells Nova TV.
And the children's plans for the future also turn out to be mathematical, with some of the children sharing that they would happily choose the profession of math teacher. However, all of them now face the preparation for the next competitions.
