"Today, together with Siyana's mother, we received a total of 300,000 leva in compensation for the death of our daughter Siyana. The claims of her other heirs have not been honored. That's how much a child's life is valued in Bulgaria. As I promised, this money will be donated to sick children. I will publish every payment order here". This was written on Facebook by Nikolay Popov, the father of the deceased 12-year-old girl, quoted by bTV.
"We will insist that the compensation be reviewed, and we will file an appeal against the refusal to pay the remaining amounts. If this does not happen, we will file lawsuits", wrote Popov.
"This is not my money, nor the insurers'. This is the money of sick Bulgarian children. This is my cause. I appeal to the insurers to pay the remaining amounts. In this way, they will show that they are responsible and empathetic to the daily tragedies that occur in Bulgaria", he also said.
"With these funds, we have decided to support Marty's treatment. With whatever is necessary. It is a pity that there are so many in need, and the money, no matter how much it is, will never be enough. I hug all the good people who have supported me from day one", wrote Nikolay Popov.
"Strength and courage to the family of Chrissy and Marty. Today, for the first time, I felt a little better after we managed to bring Marty to Sofia. "I can imagine how excited Siyana would be," concludes the father of the deceased girl.
