The defense of the arrested mayor of Varna Blagomir Kotsev has sent the prosecutor's office a request to reconsider his detention measure, announced by "We Continue the Change".
A recording was published on the party's Facebook page with Kotsev's lawyer Ina Lulcheva, who explained that after submitting the request, the state prosecution is obliged to send him to court, BNR specified.
"And I hope that next week the court should consider this request of the defense. I hope that the court will be convinced that ten months after the start of the case, there are no grounds for Mr. Kotsev to be in custody.
The defense claimed that there were no grounds two months ago, but I believe that this is even clearer now. And the impression should not be created that this arrest is aimed at changing the vote of the voter in Varna", specified attorney Lulcheva.
