Plamen Dimitrov: Inflation is growing, incomes are not - 1

Inflation is growing, prices are increasing, incomes have not increased at the same pace as they were in the last few years. 5% is the mass increase in wages. This was said by the President of the Confederation of Bulgarian Trade Unions Plamen Dimitrov in the studio of “Intersection Point” on “Nova Television”.

He pointed out that in some sectors, especially in production, there are no decent wage increases. He added that there are areas in which remuneration has increased, but here too “the picture is mixed”.

Dimitrov said that there is money in the NHIF – over 9 billion leva, with additional money in the Ministry of Health, but the question is how it is distributed. According to him, there will be protests in this area.

The President of the Confederation of Bulgarian Trade Unions also said that the demands of forestry employees have not been met, although an agreement has been signed with the Ministry of Agriculture.

Dimitrov stressed that no additional funds have been found for the Agency for Combating Hailstorms to increase salaries.

There are also upheavals in the automotive industry, there have been mass layoffs, orders have decreased, incomes have not increased, which could lead to tremors, he added.

Dimitrov was categorical that where there has been an increase in salaries, one cannot speak of exaggeration and added that incomes in Bulgaria are the lowest in the EU.
