The Asenovgrad District Court has detained two Czech citizens accused of manufacturing drugs without permission from the trademark owner.
The two men were arrested in the Plovdiv village of Bogdanitsa, where they prepared and stored the unlicensed drugs.
They have been charged with a serious intentional crime, for which the Criminal Code provides for a prison sentence of 1 to 6 years and a fine of up to 5,112.92 euros.
“The court considered that despite the early stage of the investigation, from the evidence collected so far, a conclusion can be drawn about the involvement of the accused Z. H. and I. N. in the crime for which they have been charged“, they point out magistrates.
The District Court – Asenovgrad accepted that with a measure other than detention in custody there is a risk of both committing a crime and absconding.
The decision is not final and is subject to appeal and protest before the District Court – Plovdiv.
