The documents, submitted for the distribution of Guy Ritchie's film "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Affairs" do not meet the requirements of the rules for issuing a distribution certificate, the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation confirmed. RIA Novosti.

Earlier the film distribution company "Volga" announced that the film did not receive a distribution certificate from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for the selected date - April 25. The press service of Kinopoisk noted that in the paragraph indicated in the notification, one of the reasons for the refusal could be the presence of errors in the documents submitted to obtain a distribution certificate, as well as the fact that several similar films are released on the premiere date chosen by the licensor.

„Ritchie's film did not receive a distribution certificate for both theatrical and online screening because the documents submitted did not meet the requirements of the letter “e” of paragraph 18 of the Rules for the Issuance and Refusal of the Issuance and Revocation of a Film Distribution Certificate, approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 143 dated February 27, 2016. The notice of refusal was officially sent to the applicants”, the statement said .

The ministry also confirmed that they have already received a number of letters from Russian producers stating that cinemas in the country have already set dates for other films released earlier than the film in question.

The main role in the film is played by Henry Cavill. The plot focuses on a special service created in Great Britain during World War II to fight the Nazis.

The film was supposed to be released in Russia on April 25. This is Richie's first film that did not receive a certificate for distribution in Russia.
