Every tenth person refuses to have sex because they watch the news. This is reported by the Daily Star, citing a study commissioned by the smartphone company OnePlus.
The authors of the study explain that the flow of negative news that people see daily on social networks affects many aspects of their lives. In particular, every tenth participant in the study reported that they refuse intimacy due to feelings of exhaustion, anxiety and depression.
The study also reveals that reading the news is so addictive that people cannot control it. Thus, four out of ten respondents admitted to having watched the news broadcast in the toilet, and every second - in the company of friends and family. Some say that they did not stop reading the news even at a wedding or funeral.
