The Real Madrid team won an extremely valuable victory over Real Sociedad with 2:1 in San Sebastian. The success is valuable because Xabi Alonso's team played two/thirds of the match with ten men on the field, after being sent off with a direct red card for central defender Dean Hausen, BTA reported.
Earlier, Kylian Mbappe again confirmed his great form, after escaping the defense of the hosts from San Sebastian and opening the score for Real in the 12th minute. Turkish international Arda Guler made it 2:0 in the last minute of the first half, when the team was already left with ten men on the field. Guler also scored in the second minute of the match, but then the goal was disallowed due to an offside situation.
The Royal Club suffered after the break, but Real Sociedad managed only one goal through international Mikel Oyarzabal from a penalty in the 56th minute.
Real thus has a full asset in La Liga with 12 points from 4 matches and is the sole leader in the standings. Real Sociedad is only in 17th position with two points from four matches.
On Tuesday, Real Madrid welcomes Olympique Marseille in the first round of the Champions League.
