Lokomotiv (Plovdiv) and Ludogorets drew 1:1 in a match from the eighth round of the First League, BNT reported.
The hosts were very close to inflicting the champions' first loss since the beginning of the season, after taking the lead in the score in the 6th minute through Catalin Itu and bravely guarding their lead until the end. In added time, however, Ludogorets equalized through one of their new signings, Petar Stanic, who scored with a nice right-footed shot from distance.
It is important to note that Lokomotiv played the entire second half with a man less, after Ivaylo Ivanov was sent off with a red card in the 44th minute.
Thanks to the point, Ludogorets takes the lead in the standings with 17 points, one more than second-placed Levski, who play later tonight. Loko (Plovdiv) is third with 16 points, but also has a game more than the champions and leaders in the standings. In the next round, Ludogorets visits Levski in Sofia, while Lokomotiv will face CSKA 1948.
