The Bulgarian women's national team in aesthetic group gymnastics won the title of the European Championship in the Hungarian capital Budapest, and our girls took silver medals, BTA reports.
Our team Karina Neykova, Siyana Tabakova, Hristiana Kovacheva, Viktoria Berova, Yana Staykova, Maria Mehlemova, Sibila Karpacheva and Katrin Taseva performed their compositions excellently on both competition days. Kristina Tasheva's students collected 57,200 points, after being evaluated with 28,600 points yesterday and today.
In second place is Ekspersia (Russia) with 56,600 points, and third position was taken by Madonna (Russia) with 55,700 points. The team of Academic Sofia finished eighth with 52.450, and Velbajd Kyustendil is 24th.
In the girls' category, our team - Linoy Georgieva, Daria Nacheva, Jacqueline Naydenova, Andrea Hristova, Andrea Sarafova, Dalia Ivanova and Nikol Zlatkova, was the leader after the first day, but they were left with the silver medals and a total of 55.000 (27.200 and 27.800). Madonna Junior (Russia) became the European champion with 55.150, and the bronze medals went to the gymnasts from Victoria (Russia) with 54.450 points.
In this age group, the team of Academic is sixth with 53.150 points, Etar Elit - 24th, and Afrodita - 27th.
