Georgi Pavlov is now officially the president of the Bulgarian Athletics Federation (BAFF). The new leadership of the federation was registered yesterday with the Registry Agency, the headquarters' press service announced.
This puts an end to the prolonged administrative difficulties and opens the way to stability and consistency in the management of the federation. The change requested by the majority of athletics clubs is already beginning, BTA reported.
„With the registration of the new leadership of the BAFF, we are starting a new stage. I take on the responsibility to be the president of all clubs and to work with full transparency and dedication for the future of Bulgarian athletics, Pavlov said. – The clubs demanded change and I am starting to create conditions for the development of strategic initiatives aimed at the future of athletics in Bulgaria.“
The new president confirms his readiness for active dialogue with the clubs, coaches and the entire athletic community.
Pavlov was elected chairman by the new BFA Management Board on November 9 - a day after the Extraordinary General Assembly of the BFA. The members of the federation elected Georgi Pavlov, Dr. Valentin Dimitrov, Assoc. Prof. Grigor Gutev, Iliya Nikolov, Borislav Trifonov and Daniel Dukov to the governing body.
