Heerenveen produced one of the sensations in the Dutch Cup tournament, eliminating the giants Feyenoord, reported sportal.bg.
The two teams faced each other at "De Kuip" in a clash of the 1/16-finals and the guests rejoiced after a dramatic 3:2 success. Bulgarian defender Hristian Petrov also took part in the match, appearing as a substitute in the 69th minute.
Dylan Wente gave Heerenveen the lead in the 25th minute, but Luciano Valente equalized in the 64th.
Maxons Rivera again put the visitors ahead with a well-taken shot in the 77th minute, but the hosts restored parity again, thanks to an own goal by Maas Willemsen in the 83rd minute.
"The Blue and Whites" however, they managed to impose their will at the very end of the match, with the winning goal scored by Jakob Trenskow in the 90th minute.
Heerenveen will thus play in the 1/8 finals, while Feyenoord is eliminated, thus provoking the anger of their supporters, who attacked the team after the match.
