Video replay technology will be available on six courts at this year's "Wimbledon", the organizers of the Grand Slam tournament, the All England Club, announced, BTA reported.

The introduction of electronic line signals last year caused some controversy, with a malfunction marring Sonay Kartal's fourth-round clash against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

But that hasn't stopped the hosts from giving the green light for more technology, with players in singles matches on the six courts now allowed to challenge certain decisions made by the umpires, such as whether the ball has bounced twice or whether a player has touched or leaned over the net.

Meanwhile, the backboard for the results will show a visual signal when shots are taken, following feedback from last year's tournament that fans had difficulty hearing the automated whistles, DPA reported.
