FACTS strives to acquaint its readers with the widest possible range of opinions and national successes that remain -back in the Bulgarian chronicle, and others are not mentioned at all. Before getting acquainted together with the latest successes of Eleonora Pavlova, we strongly advise you to read our first material < /strong>on the topic ‘’Aircraft modelling’’.

Eleonora Pavlova competes in the free-flying model aircraft category. In class F1E - gliders for gliding. Competitors climb a slope and launch their models from there. The goal is for the model to hold and fly down the slope. These models are directed into the wind by an automatic aircraft system, usually a magnet connected to a rudder, and are flown for 5 flights with a maximum time of up to 5 minutes for each flight. In order to achieve a successful flight, the model must first be made, then trained, i.e. “learn to fly”. At least a rudimentary knowledge of meteorology and aerodynamics, as well as technical skills, are needed to assemble the “stack of sticks”, as some would say.

Eleonora finished the F1E - (Slope Glider) European Championship held between August 19-23 in Rana, Czech Republic in 3rd place for women, consolidating her position from the last championship. Despite technical problems, she managed to grab a medal. At the European Championship, Eleonora is in a team with ms. Velizar Vladev and Milen Iliev. Unfortunately, Belizar's ranking is not satisfactory and ends up in 9th place. To date, he is 16th in the annual ranking of the FAI World Federation.

Our contestant has been touring Europe for the 3rd week already. The European Championship was supposed to be the 7th race of the series, but unfortunately, due to bad weather conditions, the one race in the Czech Republic did not take place. In preparation, Eleonora took part in several rounds of the World Cup. Starting with a very successful start at the “Memorial Popa Crangu”, July 27 in Turda, Romania, where he finished 1st in the women's and 2nd in the men, then the “Turda Cup” on July 28, where she finished 2nd in the women's category. Then it continues with “The Three Castles F1E Tournament” on the outskirts of Toszek, Poland August 9-11, where she fought for the 1st place in the women's tournament, despite a bad start to the “Governor's Cup” - 6th among women, “Tozsek Cup - 1st place among women and “The Friendship Cup of Ukraine - Memorial of Valeriy Goryni” - 2nd place among women. The tournament in Poland is a combination of 3 rounds of the World Cup. Cumulative results of the 3 competitions are the final result in the tournament.

“To date, I have successfully maintained positions in the top 10 of the annual World Cup rankings with 9th place for men and 1st place for women. For me, the season will end on September 21st with my participation in the World Cup round, which will be held in Bulgaria, hoping to stay in the top 10 for the men and consolidate my position for the women. ”, Eleonora commented on her future to FACTS. For the participation and the organization of the European Modeling Championship, funding is provided by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with the assistance of the Bulgarian Federation of Modeling. Such help has not been available in the last more than 10 years.
