Anthony Joshua's promoter - Eddie Hearn - announced that it is certain that his boxer will activate the rematch clause against Daniel Dubois. As is known, Dubois unexpectedly convincingly dealt with AJ in front of 96,000 spectators at “Wembley” and knocked him out in the fifth round, after having previously knocked him down four times, reported Sportal.bg.
“It is certain that AJ will activate the rematch clause. He needs to rest and recover first, but we still think we can beat Dubois. He did a great job and his confidence is growing steadily,”, said Hearn shortly after the end of the big fight for the International Boxing Federation world title.
Dubois himself probably wanted to pursue a unification bout with Alexander Usyk, but if the clause in his contract is indeed activated he will have to go through Joshua again.
