Paul Pogba's hopes of playing for Juventus again have suffered a blow after the Italian club's director Cristiano Giuntoli commented that the Serie A squad A is formed without it.
The doping ban for the 31-year-old midfielder, who has a contract with Juventus until June 2026, will expire in March. Pogba tested positive in September 2023 for a banned substance that increases testosterone levels.
The former France international's ban was reduced earlier this month from the original four years to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport and the player will be eligible to play for Juventus as soon as the ban ends.
"Our position is clear. Pogba was a great player, he was out for a long time and last year we were forced to invest in other players. The squad is completely complete as it is now," Giuntoli told DAZN ahead of the club's home game against Lazio.
