Italian media reported that the country's most successful team Juventus has sacked coach Thiago Moga nine rounds before the end of the season.
The club is convinced that continuing with him would reduce the chances of qualifying for the Champions League next season, which will provide a minimum bonus of 65 million euros, Tuttosport reports.
Juve's current season has been mediocre, with the Turin team currently occupying fifth place in the provisional standings, and also ignominy eliminated from the Champions League and the Italian Cup.
Juve were expected to sack their 42-year-old coach at the end of the season, but the decision has already been made. The name of the new coach is Igor Tudor. The Croatian is a former player for the “Bianconeri“, and as a coach he has gained considerable experience, including in football (with Udinese, Verona and Lazio).
Tudor's only task until the end of the season will be to secure Juve a place in the Champions League next season. If he does so, the “Old Lady“ will offer him a permanent contract.
