American President Donald Trump is outraged that the quarterback from the University of Colorado Shedur Sanders has not yet been selected in the National Football League draft, BTA reported.
The 23-year-old Sanders, who is the son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, was considered a sure choice in the first round of the draft, which lasts a total of three days. However, the young football player did not hear his name on the first day, which apparently surprised Trump himself, who used social networks to express his opinion on this issue.
"What is wrong with the owners of the NFL teams, are they stupid? Deion Sanders was a great player in the college championship and even better in the NFL. He is also a very good coach - smart and resourceful. For this reason, Shedur, his son, the quarterback, has PHENOMENAL GENES and has all the prerequisites to be great. He should be drafted IMMEDIATELY by a team that wants to WIN. Good luck Shedur and send greetings to your wonderful father," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The American head of state released his message shortly before the start of the second day of the draft, in which the second and third rounds of it were held, but Shedur Sanders was not selected then either. So the hope of the young quarterback to receive a contract from a team in the league remains for tonight, when the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh rounds will be held. Players selected that late, however, receive much smaller contracts than those taken in the first three rounds.
Many experts predicted that Sanders would be selected with one of the first picks in the draft. For this reason, the quarterback refused a number of interviews and tryouts, working only with teams that were entitled to one of the first five picks. On the day of the draft, however, information emerged from an unnamed assistant coach from the League, who said that Shedur Sanders' interview was "the worst he has ever been to", that he "does not have a winning attitude and blames his teammates" and that he is simply "not that good". This also led to the collapse of the young football player's shares - something that was completely unexpected only two days ago.
