The Bulgarian men's mini-football team has advanced to the round of 16 of the World Championship in Baku (Azerbaijan), BTA reported.
The Bulgarians defeated Slovakia 1:0 in their third match from Group D and with two wins and one loss took second place in the standings with 6 points. Portugal came in first with 9 points after three consecutive successes, with both teams continuing to the championship's elimination rounds. Slovakia and India were eliminated.
The only goal in Bulgaria's match against the Slovaks was scored by Nikolay Ivanov in the 34th minute. The national team's opponent in the round of 16 will be the England team, which finished in first place in Group C.
