Iva Deliverska sets new national record in the 100m hurdles for girls - 1

A national record was broken on the first day of the National Athletics Championship for girls under 18, BTA reports. Iva Deliverska set a time of 13.45 seconds in the 100m hurdles. She improved her old best performance in the series in the discipline by one hundredth.

Iva has met the standard for participation in the European U20 Championships in Tampere (Finland) from August 7 to 10, which is 13.80 seconds.

Vasil Antonov achieved a strong result for first place in the 400m. He finished with a personal best of 47.89 seconds, retaining his third place in the European rankings for the year for this age group in the discipline.

Antonov's achievement is only 16 hundredths of a second above the national record for 400 meters set by Konstantin Babalievsky in 1989.
In the 100-meter sprint, Deyan Tsvetanov triumphed with 10.66 seconds and remained only 4 hundredths of a second short of the standard for participation in the continental championship under 20 years.

In the 100-meter race for the girls, the favorite Raya Dimitrova was unrivaled for first place with 10.82 seconds, finishing only 2 hundredths of a second short of the standard for the European championship under 20 years.

Teodora Andreeva achieved 57.00 meters for the national hammer title, coming only a centimeter short of her own a national record he set earlier in the season in Balchik.
