Florida Panthers defended their title in the National Hockey League (NHL) of the United States and Canada, FOCUS reported.
The finalist of the last three seasons in the League reached its second consecutive title and second in history, after winning the final series against Edmonton Oilers with 4-2 success.
In game #6 of the series, which turned out to be the last of the season, Florida won at home in Sunrise with 5:1 (2:0, 1:0, 2:1).
Sam Reinart was the main character in the game. He scored 4 goals, the last two of which were on empty net in the final third.
Sergey Bobrovsky had another strong game against Florida, stopping 28 shots.
Edmonton guard Stuart Skinner made 20 saves.
