Carlos Alcaraz won the title of the Queen's Club tournament in London - 1

The world number 2 in tennis Carlos Alcaraz won the title of the "Queen's Club" tournament in London for the second time, defeating the Czech Jiri Lehecza in the final with 7:5, 6:7 (5), 6:2 in two hours and six minutes on the "Andy Murray" center court. This is the 22-year-old Spaniard's second victory in London after 2023, BTA reported.

The winner of five Grand Slam titles started the first set calmly, with each of them winning their serve. Alcaraz made a decisive break for 6:5, and then won the first set on his own serve.

The second set developed similarly, with each player taking their serve, without giving the opponent even the slightest chance to break. This led to a tiebreak, in which the Czech took a 4:2 lead after a mini break, but the Spaniard managed to equalize. At 5:5, Alcaraz surprisingly made a double fault, and then Jiri Lehecza won the set with a powerful serve and equalized.

This development did not deter Carlos Alcaraz, who was more concentrated in the third set. The Spaniard made a break for 3:1, and then led 40:15 on the Czech's serve at 5:2 and managed to make his first match point.

Alcaraz finished the match with an impressive 18 aces to Lehecza's 7. The Spaniard made 33 winning shots to his opponent's 26, and made fewer unforced errors - 25 to 36.

This was the 21st career title for Carlos Alcaraz, who is the favorite for "Wimbledon" starting next week, where he will defend his 2023 and 2024 titles.
