French midfielder Paul Pogba dreams of returning to the French national team. He admitted this himself at his official presentation as a Monaco player, AFP reported, quoted by Topsport.
"Returning to the French national team would, of course, be a dream and a bonus for me," said the former Manchester United and Juventus player.
The 2018 world champion with the "roosters" has a total of 91 matches and 11 goals for France during his official presentation as a new Monaco player on Thursday, AFP reported. However, he has not worn the national jersey since March 29, 2022 and the match against the team of the Republic of South Africa, won 5:0.
Pogba spent nearly three years away from the field, first treating serious injuries, and then being punished for doping for 18 months, with his sanction expiring in March.
The 32-year-old midfielder's last official match was for Juventus in the fall of 2023. He expressed his great gratitude to Monaco, which brought him back to the big game and gave him the opportunity to play in Ligue 1 for the first time, after he transferred from the Le Havre academy to Manchester United when he was only 16 years old.
