Iliyan Kiryakov again takes over his native club Etar (Veliko Tarnovo). Kiryakov received an invitation from the Chairman of the Board of Directors Lyubomir Filipov and the club management and accepted to work for the "violet" as a coach in the children's and youth school, the club announced.
Iliyan Kiryakov is a champion of Bulgaria with Etar, winner of the BFU Cup, two-time bronze medalist. He was elected the best football player in the Bulgarian championship in the 1990/1991 championship season. In the "A" group he has 168 matches and 15 goals. He also played successfully for CSKA, in Spain, Cyprus, Scotland. Bronze medalist in Spain with La Coruña and in Scotland with Aberdeen.
He played 57 matches and scored 1 goal for the Bulgarian national team. He participated in the 1994 World Cup in the USA and the 1996 European Championship in England. As a coach, Ilian Kiryakov was part of Etar, and now he will once again share his vast experience for the future successes of the "violet".
