The number 2 seed Alexander Bublik won the men's tennis tournament in Gstaad (Switzerland) with a prize fund of 596 thousand euros, BTA reported.
The Kazakh defeated the Argentine Juan Manuel Cerundolo in the final with 6:4, 4:6, 6:3 and won a title on red courts for the first time in his career.
Bublik recorded 47 winning shots and 13 aces in the match, which lasted a little more than two hours.
The two exchanged one set each, and in the decisive third part Bublik made a breakthrough for 4:2, then at 5:2 he missed a match point, but at the second opportunity on his own serve he closed the match with 6:3.
