CSKA 1948 took the lead in the standings after a victory over Septemvri in Bistritsa - 1

CSKA 1948 defeated Septemvri (Sofia) 2:1 in the second match of the third round of efbet League, sportal.bg reported.

"The Reds" from Bistritsa had complete superiority in the first half, but at the end they received a red card and a penalty goal, which changed the initial course of the match. Brian Sobrero found the net behind Yanko Georgiev in the tenth minute with a beautiful cross shot. Two minutes before the break, Mamadou Diallo hit the target with a shot from a small angle.

The match started with two attempts to score, by the guests, but in the tenth minute the ball stopped in their goal. Dimitar Sheitanov shot from the penalty area, Mamadou Diallo won the aerial duel in the middle of the field and brought the ball down to Brian Sobrero. The Argentinean headed the ball and managed to overcome the care of two defenders, then technically passed it to Yanko Georgiev who had come forward - a good performance and 1:0 for CSKA 1948.

After about ten minutes, the "red" from Bistritsa were close to a second goal, but only the great intervention of Yanko Georgiev prevented it. Daniel Medina crossed from the right, and Georgi Rusev tried without putting much force into the shot to look for the ball from a volley. The national team succeeded, but the goalkeeper of Septemvri (Sofia) showed excellent reflexes, knocking it into a corner. In the 27th minute, the former Sion and Ludogorets winger had a similar opportunity to score, but his powerful shot from the air flew high over the target.

New dangers followed in front of the Septemvri (Sofia) goal line, caused by the pressure that Ivan Stoyanov's players imposed. However, Yanko Georgiev was once again unwavering in the goal frame, as the experienced goalkeeper reflected Georgi Rusev's goal shot with one hand in the 35th minute.

In the 43rd minute, CSKA 1948 doubled its lead. A multi-move action by the "reds" passed through the legs of Georgi Rusev from the left, who stepped on the ball for Mamadou Diallo, who joined in behind him. The central striker advanced and from a very small angle found the far end of the goal - 2:0 for the players from Bistritsa.

In the last minute of the first half, contrary to the logic of the match, the visiting team reached a goal. Juanmi Carrion acted illegally in front of the CSKA 1948 goal - pushing Bertrand Fourier in the back, who failed to shoot with his head. Referee Radoslav Gidzhenov showed a second yellow card to the Spanish defender and awarded a 11-meter penalty kick. Captain Galin Ivanov initially stood behind the ball, but then the victim of the penalty took his place. It is curious that before the execution, Dimitar Sheytanov went to the touchline to consult with the goalkeeper coach, which he did against Arda (Kardzhali) in the first round, but Gidzhenov invited him to quickly return to the goal line and showed him a red card. After a few seconds, Bertrand Fourier did not give the national goalkeeper a chance, who otherwise felt the direction of the strong shot.

The second half began with a bomb shot by Galin Ivanov, who looked for the near bottom corner of the CSKA 1948 goal. However, Dimitar Sheytanov reacted excellently and managed to knock the ball out with one hand. In the 55th minute, the national goalkeeper also saved a dangerous header by Martin Hristov.

In the next 25 minutes, Stamen Belchev's boys pressed their opponents and the match began to be played mostly in the CSKA 1948 half. In the 80th minute, however, reserve Robin Shuten very roughly stepped on Georgi Rusev's ankle, which brought a red card to the Dutch defender of Septemvri (Sofia). Thus, both teams were left with nine field players on the field. In added time, reserve Elias Franco made Yanko Georgiev show that he was still following the match with concentration - the experienced goalkeeper saved a header from the Brazilian winger.
