Team of Hope to play with Lithuania at the Homeless World Cup 2025

"Team of Hope" will play with Lithuania in a match for eleventh place at the Homeless World Cup 2025 in the Norwegian city of Oslo, BTA reports. The Bulgarian team entered the top 12 of the world championship after beating Denmark 4:2. The two teams also met in the first group stage of the tournament. Then "Team of Hope" won the match with the Danes 6:0 on a dry field. However, the rainy weather yesterday equalized the chances of the two teams and as a result, the difference in the result was minimal.

In its match to enter the top ten teams of the Homeless World Cup 2025, the Bulgarian team faced Brazil. The Latin Americans dominated the first half, while in the second half, the "Team of Hope" controlled the game. However, controversial refereeing decisions led to a resounding 7-3 victory for Brazil.

The teams of Portugal and Egypt will compete for the World Cup title. In the third-place match, Poland and South Africa, who finished in the top two places in the "Team of Hope" group from the second phase of the tournament, will meet. In the women's section, Mexico and Uganda will play for the gold medals.
