Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said today that Estonia's and NATO's response to the Russian provocation on Friday demonstrates the effectiveness of the Alliance's air defense and its readiness to use force if necessary, ERR reports, quoted by Focus.
„On Friday, we saw that NATO was working very efficiently and effectively. Even in the event that we had to use the last resort - force, there was full readiness for that. "We can defend Estonian airspace together with our allies," Pevkur told the Estonian Public Service.
He noted that the goal of Russian provocations is "to force the West to mind its own business while Russia focuses on Ukraine."
