„Secret Service“ arrested a man on suspicion of pointing a laser pointer at Marine One as the presidential helicopter was taking off from the White House with President Donald Trump on board, NBC News reports.
The incident occurred on Saturday, September 20, when a uniformed “Secret Service“ officer, Diego Santiago, noticed a shirtless man “talking to himself and talking loudly“.
Due to the lack of sidewalk lighting, the officer shone his flashlight at the suspect to get a better look.
According to the lawsuit, the man then pointed a red laser beam at Officer Santiago's face, temporarily disorienting him. The same man, identified as Jacob Samuel Winkler, later pointed the laser at Marine One.
