Russia has struck bases of Ukrainian special forces and foreign mercenaries in response to the drone attack on the resort town of Foros on the Crimean peninsula, the Russian Defense Ministry said, quoted by TASS.

On the night of September 22, Russia said that Ukrainian drones attacked the "resort zone of Crimea, where there are no military targets". According to Russian data, three people were killed and 16 were injured in the attack.

The Defense Ministry said today that in response, "temporary bases of the special operations unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign mercenaries from the "Ghosts" unit were hit. of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Tatarbunar and Raseika in the Odessa region. "The warehouses for storing unmanned aerial vehicles at the "Shkolny" airport were also destroyed. in the Odessa region, from which strike drones were sent to civilian infrastructure facilities in the Republic of Crimea," the Russian ministry added.

Later today, the Russian ministry issued a statement stating that over the past night, Russian air defense forces had intercepted guided aerial bombs, three HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, and 438 unmanned drones that Ukraine had used to attack Russia.

The ministry also said that Russian troops had captured the village of Pereyzdnoye in Ukraine's Donetsk region.
