Russian President Vladimir Putin does not have personal accounts on social networks, because they are “not his specialty“. However, the Kremlin publishes all the necessary information about the head of state's work, the president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov told TASS.
“Putin is present on social networks. He does not plan to create personal accounts on social networks. He has repeatedly said that this is not his specialty. But there is an administration that monitors all this“, said the Kremlin spokesman in response to a question about whether Putin plans to create his own accounts on social networks.
As Peskov noted earlier, the presidential administration “prepares digests and reports on the main hot topics“, so Putin is aware of what is happening on social networks. In addition, “he has family and friends who show and tell him things“.
The Kremlin has official accounts, where news about the president's work is posted daily, on Max and Telegram, VKontakte, Rutube and YouTube.
