Pentagon: Dead terrorists were involved in drug trafficking - 1

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced last night a new strike on a ship in the Pacific Ocean, in which he said three people accused of "narco-terrorism" were killed as part of the controversial military campaign of the Donald Trump administration, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reported.

"Once again, dead terrorists were involved in drug trafficking in the eastern Pacific," Hegseth said on his "Ex" profile.

"Three narco-terrorists" were killed aboard the ship, which was "in international waters", he added, echoing Donald Trump's terminology in his declared fight against drug trafficking.

This brings the number of victims of US strikes in the past two days to five. Washington also issued threats against Bogota, with Trump describing Colombian President Gustavo Petro as a "drug lord", recalls AFP.

According to Washington, the cartels involved in drug trafficking, many of which have been declared "terrorist organizations", have become "better armed, better organized and more brutal" in recent decades and "illegally and directly cause the deaths of tens of thousands of American citizens every year".
