A US Navy Super Hornet fighter jet and a Seahawk helicopter crashed in the South China Sea, all crew members survived, the US Navy Pacific Fleet reported on social media.
“On October 26, 2025, at approximately 2:45 p.m. local time, a US Navy MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the 73rd Attack Helicopter Squadron crashed in the waters of the South China Sea while conducting routine operations“, the Navy statement said.
On the same day, in a separate incident, a fighter jet assigned to the 22nd Attack Fighter Squadron crashed while conducting routine operations from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz. The cause of the crashes is under investigation, the Navy noted.
