This was reported by a source of RBC-Ukraine, according to whom the plan includes an amnesty for war crimes, Russia's return to the world economy and Ukraine's refusal to join NATO.
Zelensky is returning to Kiev after a visit to Turkey, where he held meetings against the backdrop of growing diplomatic pressure and the deep domestic political crisis caused by corruption scandals. The meeting between the Ukrainian president and the American generals is expected to take place on Thursday afternoon.
According to the source, the main topic of the conversation will be convincing Zelensky to accept the proposed framework. "After that, they will probably discuss the same issues with the Russians," the source said.
The Kremlin, in response to a BBC inquiry, said that they could not confirm the existence of a secret joint plan between the US and Russia, which the media has been reporting for the second day now.
The news comes against the backdrop of escalating fighting on the frontline, increased Russian pressure in the eastern regions of Ukraine and growing concerns that the American administration is seeking to achieve an end to the war through compromises that Kiev publicly refuses to accept.
