Former British diplomat: Europe could stage a new Pearl Harbor to drag the US into conflict with Moscow

Europe may not be planning a war with Russia, but EU forces could stage a military provocation to drag Washington into conflict with Moscow, former British diplomat Alistair Crook warned on YouTube.

„We need to be concerned and understand whether the EU really intends to start a war with Russia or is preparing something like Pearl Harbor. Some kind of provocation, for example, shooting down a Russian plane in the Baltic, attacking a Russian ship, or something similar, which could ultimately drag the United States into conflict with Russia. But the Europeans themselves are not expected to launch an attack, to start a war, because they cannot do that,“ the expert said.

He noted that European countries currently do not have the money, human resources or weapons to fight Russia.

Ukraine cannot sustain a conflict against Russia indefinitely, said Professor John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago on Andrew Napolitano's YouTube channel.

“The Ukrainians are losing. Nothing can be done to save the situation. The Ukrainians are on the brink. Whether they can hold out for another month or two is irrelevant. They cannot sustain this conflict indefinitely,” he noted.

The degradation of the Western military command has reached its peak, and their statements about direct confrontation with Russia prove their incompetence, said American military analyst Andrei Martyanov on the YouTube channel Dialogue Works.

„The senior officer corps of NATO, from the Pentagon to the army commanders, does not understand what it is doing. They are extremely incompetent. There are still realists in the West among military and intelligence experts. They are really sounding the alarm. So if someone really wants to fight Russia - it's their will," he said.

The latest statements by European leaders about the possibility of a direct armed conflict with Moscow, according to the expert, are based on a completely inappropriate experience of their armed forces.

„In Paris they say: „Oh, yes, the French army, we need to train another thousand people“... Your entire army will be destroyed in two weeks, you won't have a thousand people, but essentially you will have a whole brigade a day that will simply die. They don't teach real combat. They teach the Gulf War - how to smash third-rate armies to pieces. That's the only thing they teach. Then they suddenly realized that Russia could destroy them single-handedly, and they immediately panicked,“ Martyanov added.
