A truck driver from Bulgaria was stopped by the police near Thessaloniki this morning and detained because he was driving on the Thessaloniki - Athens highway in the oncoming lane, ANA-MPA reported, BTA reported.
According to initial information, the truck was driving in the oncoming lane southeast of the city in the section between the Malgara toll booth and the Klidi junction, where it was stopped.
Fortunately, no accident occurred, and the circumstances in which the truck entered the oncoming lane are being clarified.
The driver was arrested and charged with dangerous driving.
