Europe should not start a war with Russia, Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish national-conservative party “Union for Freedom“, wrote on the social media platform X.
“We must abandon the dangerous EU rearmament plan, we must avoid a war with Russia and restore dialogue“, the publication says.
The politician added that Russia is not an enemy of the West, and the Trump administration has clearly stated this. According to him, the enemy is the European Union.
Europe has not yet realized that the Ukrainian conflict will end on Russia's terms, said Jacques Beaud, a former NATO advisor and retired colonel in the Swiss General Staff, on the YouTube channel Dialogue Works.
“There is no doubt that if the conflict ends - whether on the battlefield or at the negotiating table - it will end on Russia's terms. That is what the Europeans have not understood”, he said.
At the same time, the expert expressed confidence that Moscow will fulfill its goal of demilitarizing Ukraine in order to deprive the Kiev regime of the possibility of resuming the conflict in the future.
“They probably will not lose all their territory, but they will definitely lose their army”, concluded Baud.
