Russia carried out combined attacks with drones and missiles against the Odessa region all night long. Port and energy facilities were under attack, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba announced on his Telegram channel, BTA reports.
"The Russians struck the Odessa seaport, as a result of which a fire broke out in the grain silos. The relevant services are working on the spot and eliminating the consequences of the strikes. This is the second attack on this facility in 24 hours," Kuleba's statement said.
As a result of the repeated massive strikes, the energy infrastructure in Odessa and the region was damaged.
In part of Odessa, there is no electricity, water and heat supply, backup generators are used to supply social facilities. Water and fuel supplies are provided. Repair work is underway.
Also, as a result of attacks, energy facilities in Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were damaged.
"The enemy is again trying to leave settlements without electricity and heat, destroy our maritime logistics and destroy ports. However, we are doing everything to restore critical infrastructure as quickly as possible," the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister noted.
